Fortuna

Is this a dream?
The flowers are kneeling for me
and a man, he is facing the sun
Is this where I belong?
In a world that is thoughtless and young
and the man, with my heart in my hands
Oh, are we the sky?
With my thoughts I am building a fort
Out of clouds, out of fog
A place we can call home
cause these moments are not what they seem
Do we live in a dream within a dream in a dream in a dream
What’s true, and what’s real?
The things we are taught - the moments we steal
contours in the dark
they’re not what they seem
an interconnected failed ensemble
with frail ambition,
hold on, fortitude
Have I come undone?
I was never the favorable one
And all I have to overcome
are you for real?
Eyes moist, an eternal feed
A media-ocre society
Savor what is true
what's true for me might not be
true for you
And endless circular moon
Is it a changing storm?
I ate it all, nothing left but the bone
Yes, these moments, they come and they go
What’s true, and what’s real?
The things we are taught - the moments we steal
contours in the dark
they’re not what they seem
an interconnected failed ensemble
with frail ambition,
hold on, fortitude
Fortuna, my darling
you sent me my grace
Fortuna, my darling
Save me from this place

Ocean Floor
04:42
|
|||
Land, safe on all fours
hit the ocean floor
Under a veil of blue and green
a silent, violent serenity
Oh no, don't feel no remorse
Hit the ocean floor
We were all children once
look what we've become!
A silent, violent
Obedience
La la la
A touch, so soft - then you're burned
A Medusa swarm
Gigantic waves, a frail silhouette
Volcanic shapes, what an Architect!
Frail, fragile when born
And I’ve taken this form
We were all children once
look what we've become!
A silent, violent
Obedience
La la la
Let my head rest safe on the shore
Let my blood be their form
Under a veil of blue a green, I see the truth immersed in me
Yes, let the sea be my dome,
Let it turn into stone
Feel the rage of the sea,
I’m petrified and serene
Ever virtuous in Synchronicity

Strawberry
03:30
|
|||
Someone will wait for you
Summer dress, funky fresh perfume
And a cherry blossom smile, why won’t you hop on for the ride
She’ll be your Strawberry
She’s all you see
The smell of rain after the drought
The wind in your sail - gonna blow you away
Her name is Anabelle, curves like a seashell
And a childish little laugh, can’t be tamed in a photograph
Writes down her name on the paper bag
Tilting gently to the right
Sets free the fire in your eyes
And the train keeps rolling away
She says “I’m not lost you see, I’m exactly where I want to be
Where the mountains kiss the sea, there lies my sanctuary
If you don’t wait up for me, I’m your honey bee and you’ll hear my gentle humming
On my way out to the shore, cause I’m fine with being alone

Bluebell
04:31
|
|||
He saw her on the news
Put on a song, kicked off his shoes
With his hand he held a pen and a photo of you
To write a letter to a lost love
“There’s now a desert between us”
And a cute story to tell
“With love, I’m yours” signed Bluebell
They had lived upon that hill
Tucked safe between the trees
Stars popped bright up above
The smell of eucalyptus leaves hanging in the air
and there was love there enough to warm a house made of glass
But these moments passed so fast
Wish they could last, my Bluebell
Bluebell spun through the desert in the middle of the night
He left their green oasis and the girl by his side
Just to forget what he cant have and the engine screamed
She’ll go back to that cold land and he’ll stay warm with the memories
“And I’ll put on Bohren and let myself sad. Dream of small fires and clumsy lovers gone mad. Best to have shared it than to never had. Say I’m still your Bluebell and I’ll be, yes I’ll be damn glad”

Each Moment
05:55
|
|||
I sent you flowers a stranger came to your door
With the season’s bucket, handwriting not my own
It’s funny how a thing like that can bring
You to tears
Took a train, sat next to a stranger
Tried to talk to the stranger
She lives in a town close to my hometown, her husband’s a hunter
She likes to go for walks in the forest
And I see the race you choose but it’s not the one I choose
No it’s not the one I choose. I choose growth and fortitude
This is a fine age to build castles in the snow
Secret chambers locked behind secret doors
For the creative folks to explore, for the beautiful to behold
Then I see a face in a crowd in a crowd
I see a face, make a smile make a smile
See that face in the crowd start to cry
Find that face, and say hi and say hi
And I see the race you choose but it’s not the one I choose
No it’s not the one I choose. I choose growth and fortitude
The drink I gave uo, the smoking is out
What was that about? Now I can get high in my own mind, stop reaching for something
All I saw before looks different now, now what’s going down?
Now that I’ve grown I forgive, I forgive, I forgive, I forgive, I forgive, I forgive you all
Cause life is beautiful, yeah live is beautiful
Each moment that we hold, is ours to control

Blood Love
03:45
|
|||
They so focused
I’m not at all
They loud spoken
I’m just in love
All these potions - thought potion, lotions, put it in a bowl
Spirit totem - pin your fear to a doll
I am blood, I am blood, I am veins I am flesh
I’m not a pale silhouette. I am blood I am bones I am thoughts, I am pain I’m regrets I am rest
They don’t question authority
All what’s left of this image-ridden space of non-descript realities
But we are blood, we are blood, we are veins, we are lust
we are blood in the flesh, we are trust, we are blood we are bones we are wrong,
we are young we are dumb we are fun.
Yes we’re fun, yes we’re fun yes we’re fun
Lets have fun while we’re young, while we’re strong
Cause we are love
